Got my new wheels in yesterday and had them mounted today. Pictures aren’t the best. Tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Haven’t had a chance to feel the difference in tire but i will these next few days. I’m really liking the way they look. These new wheels are about seven pounds lighter per corner so it’s a pretty significant difference.

That looks great. Love that wheel style. Really accentuates the design-time that VDub put in to make the GTI such a great looking car. The bronze was a good choice. As a guy who went from 19s to 18s, I can imagine the decision process, but these look perfect. Thanks for not going to dubs.

nice - perfect size. And 7lbs lighter each? You oughta feel that. Those SuperSports are going to be sticky too. Love it when folks change wheel/tire set up for actual functional improvement, not to just put huge chromey wheels on their rig.

Well done. The color of the wheels works really well with that paint. That’s a 2016 right?

Yeah i love the design. There were a few other wheels i was considering but i really liked the shade of bronze on this one. Was looking at 19s but decided against it.

Very nice!

Are the painted calipers stock?? I feel like they’re being offered a lot not with new cars - I’m kinda jealous.

Yeah the painted calipers are stock. I have the performance package so the rotors are bigger than the non-PP GTI. I am not sure if the non-PP models have painted calipers.

Yay, Neuspeed! We had the RSe52 on our Mk7, great wheels. I also liked that you could put the OEM center cap in them, gave it more of a stealth look.

The weight reduction makes tremendous differences. I've had a similar experience. Loving my 18s so far. : http://oppositelock.kinja.com/auntym-rollin-…
